The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिन्ताजालविलासोत्था जन्मसंसारसृष्टयः ।
तस्मात्त्यक्त्वा विचित्रां त्वं चिन्तामुपशमं व्रज ॥ ८ ॥

cintājālavilāsotthā janmasaṃsārasṛṣṭayaḥ |
tasmāttyaktvā vicitrāṃ tvaṃ cintāmupaśamaṃ vraja || 8 ||

Now as our births and lives and worldly affairs, are all productions of our wistful thoughts, I pray thee therefore, O my mind! to rest in quiet by abandonment of thy earthly desires.
