The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हतं हतमिदं कस्मादायुराततयानया ।
पश्यन्नपि न पश्यामि सूक्ष्मया काललेखया ॥ २७ ॥

hataṃ hatamidaṃ kasmādāyurātatayānayā |
paśyannapi na paśyāmi sūkṣmayā kālalekhayā || 27 ||

Fool that I am, that seeing I do not see, how the span of my life is measured every moment by the imperceptible instants of time, and their leaving but a small portion behind.
