The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्र प्रोड्डयनालोलखगपक्षतिचञ्चलाः ।
आलोकयंल्लोकगतीर्विललापेदमाकुलः ॥ ४ ॥

tatra proḍḍayanālolakhagapakṣaticañcalāḥ |
ālokayaṃllokagatīrvilalāpedamākulaḥ || 4 ||

Hence he saw the flights of birds, flying at random in different directions; and reflected on the hurrying of men in the same manner, and thus bewailed in himself on their deplorable conditions.
