The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीराम उवाच ।
ज्ञातमेतन्मया ब्रह्मन्यथास्मिन्भुवनत्रये ।
मन एव हि संसारिजरामरणभाजनम् ॥ १२ ॥

mana eva hi saṃsārijarāmaraṇabhājanam || 12 ||

Rama said:—I am fully persuaded to believe, sir, that the mind is the active agent in this world, and is subject to decay and death.
