The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.2.19

एभिरेवं मनोमात्रतन्तुबद्धैः क्षयं गतैः ।
दुःखोपशान्तिरेतानि सुचिकित्स्यानि नः कथम् ॥ १९ ॥

ebhirevaṃ manomātratantubaddhaiḥ kṣayaṃ gataiḥ |
duḥkhopaśāntiretāni sucikitsyāni naḥ katham || 19 ||

All these things are linked together in our minds, and are weakened only by the weakening of our mental appetites. But how are these to be avoided in order to get rid of our misery.
