The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एतस्मिन्समये चास्मिन्नगरे दिवसोऽभवत् ।
तनुरष्टाङ्गशेषत्वाद्दृष्टो न च मनोहरः ॥ ७ ॥

etasminsamaye cāsminnagare divaso'bhavat |
tanuraṣṭāṅgaśeṣatvāddṛṣṭo na ca manoharaḥ || 7 ||

Shortly after this, the daylight faded away at the eighth watch (yamardha) of the day; and the charming scene of the city began to disappear from sight.
