The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.62.16

स्वविवेकवशाद्यान्ति सन्तः सात्त्विकजातिताम् ।
अतश्चित्तमणौ स्वच्छे यद्राघव नियोज्यते ॥ १६ ॥

svavivekavaśādyānti santaḥ sāttvikajātitām |
ataścittamaṇau svacche yadrāghava niyojyate || 16 ||

It is by virtue of their good understanding, that the good have attained their better births in life; therefore employ yourself, O Rama! to the polishing of your understanding.
