The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.61.13

प्रविचार्य प्रयत्नेन प्राज्ञेन सह साधुभिः ।
नच कर्मसु मङ्क्तव्यं नानर्थेन सहावसेत् ॥ १३ ॥

pravicārya prayatnena prājñena saha sādhubhiḥ |
naca karmasu maṅktavyaṃ nānarthena sahāvaset || 13 ||

By diligently considering these subjects in the society of the wise and righteous, you must neither be engaged in your ceremonial acts, nor continue in your unnecessary practices of the rituals.
