The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तदेतत्कथितं राम कर्त्रकर्तृविचारणम् ।
अज्ञातत्वात्तु तामेतामक्षीणवासनो भवेत् ॥ १८ ॥

tadetatkathitaṃ rāma kartrakartṛvicāraṇam |
ajñātatvāttu tāmetāmakṣīṇavāsano bhavet || 18 ||

I have already related to you Rama! the argument concerning the agency and inertness of the soul, yet it is your ignorance of this doctrine, that makes you foster your doubts.
