The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदं सत्तदिदं वाऽसदयं सोऽहमिदं नतु ।
अयमेको द्वितीयोऽयमित्यादिकलनामयम् ॥ ६ ॥

idaṃ sattadidaṃ vā'sadayaṃ so'hamidaṃ natu |
ayameko dvitīyo'yamityādikalanāmayam || 6 ||

Tell me Sir, whence proceed these dualities, as the reality of one and the unreality of the other, and that this is I and this not myself. And if the soul is one and indivisible, how is this one thing and that another.
