The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पत्रे पत्रे मृगाः सुप्ता विश्रान्ताश्च पदे पदे ।
कच्छे कच्छे खगा लीनास्तस्य भूरुहभूपतेः ॥ ३० ॥

patre patre mṛgāḥ suptā viśrāntāśca pade pade |
kacche kacche khagā līnāstasya bhūruhabhūpateḥ || 30 ||

Here the deer were sleeping on the fallen leaves and there were others resting on the barren ground;the birds sat on the banks and beaches of the rivulets all about that lofty tree.
