The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.55.27

संदिग्धमूकभ्रमरं गुच्छैः पूजाक्षसूत्रकैः ।
श्यामलीकृतपर्यन्तं नीडैः पल्लवमण्डितैः ॥ २७ ॥

saṃdigdhamūkabhramaraṃ gucchaiḥ pūjākṣasūtrakaiḥ |
śyāmalīkṛtaparyantaṃ nīḍaiḥ pallavamaṇḍitaiḥ || 27 ||

They saw the long lines of black-bees, lying mute on the ground like strings of beads, and blackening it with their sable bodies.
