The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इत्याकर्ण्य तदा तत्र रात्रावालपनं द्वयोः ।
अहं रघुकुलाकाशशशाङ्क रघुनन्दन ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
ityākarṇya tadā tatra rātrāvālapanaṃ dvayoḥ |
ahaṃ raghukulākāśaśaśāṅka raghunandana || 1 ||

Vasishtha said:—Hear me, Rama, that art the delight of Raghu's race, and shinest as the moon in the firmament of Raghu's family; that after I heard the conversation that was going on between Dasura and his son:—
