The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शक्यते नात्र संदेहो नासत्सद्भवति क्वचित् ।
संस्थितो यदि संकल्पो दुश्चिकित्स्यः स्वतो भवेत् ॥ ३३ ॥

śakyate nātra saṃdeho nāsatsadbhavati kvacit |
saṃsthito yadi saṃkalpo duścikitsyaḥ svato bhavet || 33 ||

Desire is undoubtedly a curable disease, as long as it is a transient malady of the mind; but it becomes incurable, when it takes a deep root in it.
