The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.53.18

केचिच्चिरेण नश्यन्ति केचिच्छीघ्रविनाशिनः ।
केचित्केशोलपोल्लासरचिताच्छादनश्रियः ॥ १८ ॥

keciccireṇa naśyanti kecicchīghravināśinaḥ |
kecitkeśolapollāsaracitācchādanaśriyaḥ || 18 ||

Some of these bodies have to act their parts for a long while, while others make their exits in a short time. They are covered with caps of black hairs, and others with those of white and grey on their heads.
