The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.48.23

बालोऽसावतिदीनात्मा वनदेवतया वने ।
इत्थमाश्वासितो राम तदाऽदृश्यशरीरया ॥ २३ ॥

bālo'sāvatidīnātmā vanadevatayā vane |
itthamāśvāsito rāma tadā'dṛśyaśarīrayā || 23 ||

He was observed in this sad plight by the sylvan god of that wood, who taking compassion on the forlorn youth, and accosted him unseen in an audible voice and said:—
