The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.48.18

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
शरलोमेति विख्यातः पिता तस्य बभूव ह ।
रामाऽपर इव ब्रह्मा तस्मिन्नेवावसद्गिरौ ॥ १८ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
śaralometi vikhyātaḥ pitā tasya babhūva ha |
rāmā'para iva brahmā tasminnevāvasadgirau || 18 ||

Vasishtha replied:—He had for his father, the renowned sage Saraloman, residing in the same mountain, and resembling the great Brahma in his abstract meditation.
