The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.47.37

इदं चत्वारि संपीड्य पञ्चमं वर्धते यदा ।
तदा तज्जात एवैष कुरुते जागतीं क्रियाम् ॥ ३७ ॥

idaṃ catvāri saṃpīḍya pañcamaṃ vardhate yadā |
tadā tajjāta evaiṣa kurute jāgatīṃ kriyām || 37 ||

It is by extraction of the essences of these four Brahmas, that a fifth is formed under the name of the quintuple Brahma, who is the creation of the present world.
