The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.44.49

विविधविरचनैः क्रियाविलासैः कमलजरूपधरेण चेतसैव ।
रघुसुत परिकल्पनेन नीता स्थितिमतुलां जगतीह सर्गलक्ष्मीः ॥ ४९ ॥

vividhaviracanaiḥ kriyāvilāsaiḥ kamalajarūpadhareṇa cetasaiva |
raghusuta parikalpanena nītā sthitimatulāṃ jagatīha sargalakṣmīḥ || 49 ||

Thus O Rama! did Brahma take upon him the form of the lotus-born, and create by his activity, all the different creatures upon their models existent in his mind, which took their various forms in the visible world at his will.
