अवतीर्णस्तदाऽज्ञानात्तथैव सुखमस्मृतम् ।
गर्भनिद्राव्यपगमे वपुः पश्यति भास्वरम् ॥ ३७ ॥

avatīrṇastadā'jñānāttathaiva sukhamasmṛtam |
garbhanidrāvyapagame vapuḥ paśyati bhāsvaram || 37 ||

When Brahma was first begotten, he remained in his happy state of insensibility and forgetfulness (of his former existence); but being delivered from his torpor in the womb, he came to see the light.
