The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.44.34

अनादिमध्यपर्यन्तं कदाचिदमलं पयः ।
कदाचित्कल्पकालाग्निज्वालाभास्वरमण्डकम् ॥ ३४ ॥

anādimadhyaparyantaṃ kadācidamalaṃ payaḥ |
kadācitkalpakālāgnijvālābhāsvaramaṇḍakam || 34 ||

Sometimes the lord thinks himself, as identic with the waters which existed before creation in his mind; and at another as the mundane egg, which was as bright as the fire of universal destruction.
