The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.44.13

यथा ब्रह्मंस्तथा सर्वं विस्तरेण वदाशु मे ।
श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
ब्राह्मे श्रृणु महाबाहो शरीरग्रहणे क्रमम् ॥ १३ ॥

yathā brahmaṃstathā sarvaṃ vistareṇa vadāśu me |
śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
brāhme śrṛṇu mahābāho śarīragrahaṇe kramam || 13 ||

Rama said:—I require, Sir, to be fully informed, whether all other beings sprang from the same cause as Brahma—the lotus-born.
