The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

केचिच्छक्तत्वमप्युच्चैः प्राप्य तुच्छतया धिया ।
पुनस्तिर्यक्त्वमायान्ति तिर्यक्त्वान्नरकानपि ॥ ३१ ॥

kecicchaktatvamapyuccaiḥ prāpya tucchatayā dhiyā |
punastiryaktvamāyānti tiryaktvānnarakānapi || 31 ||

Some there are who after having attained to higher states, fall down again by the lowness of their spirits, and appearing in the shapes of brute creatures, have to fall into hell at last.
