The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.43.28

तावद्भ्रमन्ति संसारे वारिण्यावर्तराशयः ।
यावन्मूढा न पश्यन्ति स्वमात्मानमनिन्दितम् ॥ २८ ॥

tāvadbhramanti saṃsāre vāriṇyāvartarāśayaḥ |
yāvanmūḍhā na paśyanti svamātmānamaninditam || 28 ||

So long are the stupefied souls doomed to rove about in the world, like the waters in a whirlpool;as they do not come to understand the true nature of their selves, as selfsame with the Supreme-Self.
