The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जरामरणमोहान्तर्भवभावनयाहतम् ।
ईहितानीहितैर्ग्रस्तमविद्यारागरञ्जितम् ॥ ४० ॥

jarāmaraṇamohāntarbhavabhāvanayāhatam |
īhitānīhitairgrastamavidyārāgarañjitam || 40 ||

It is living dead with the cares of age and the fear of death, to which the world is subject; it is troubled with desire and disgust, and stained by its ignorance and passions.
