The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तथा चिद्धनश्चित्तं चित्त्वाच्च सर्वाः शक्तीः कर्ममयीर्वासनामयीर्मनोमयीश्चिनोति दर्शयति विभर्ति जनयति क्षिपयति चेति ॥ ५ ॥

tathā ciddhanaścittaṃ cittvācca sarvāḥ śaktīḥ karmamayīrvāsanāmayīrmanomayīścinoti darśayati vibharti janayati kṣipayati ceti || 5 ||

तथा चिद्धनश्चित्तं चित्त्वाच्च सर्वाः शक्तीः कर्ममयीर्वासनामयीर्मनोमयीश्चिनोति दर्शयति विभर्ति जनयति क्षिपयति चेति ॥ ५ ॥

The density of the Intellect makes the mind, and the mind brings forth all the powers of thinking, willing or volition, and of acting or action. These it produces, accumulates, contains, shows and then absorbs in itself.
