तरङ्गादिमयी स्फारा नानाता सलिलार्णवे ।
तस्मान्न व्यतिरेकेण यथा भावविकारिणी ॥ ९ ॥

taraṅgādimayī sphārā nānātā salilārṇave |
tasmānna vyatirekeṇa yathā bhāvavikāriṇī || 9 ||

As the sea water shows itself in various forms in all its waves, so the intellect does not differ from it, in showing us its various representations of its own motion.
