The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संकल्पकल्पितत्वाच्च मनोरूपमसन्मयम् ।
असन्मयविनाशे तु कः शोको वद राघव ॥ ५२ ॥

saṃkalpakalpitatvācca manorūpamasanmayam |
asanmayavināśe tu kaḥ śoko vada rāghava || 52 ||

The mind being composed of vain desires, is an unreality in itself;say therefore, O Rama! why should you sorrow for something which in reality is nothing.
