The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सर्वगे स्वात्मनि स्वच्छे एषोऽहमिति भावना ।
एतत्तद्बन्धनं लोके स्वविकल्पोपकल्पितम् ॥ ३९ ॥
sarvage svātmani svacche eṣo'hamiti bhāvanā |
etattadbandhanaṃ loke svavikalpopakalpitam || 39 ||
The belief of one's individuality in his undivided, all pervasive and transparent soul, as “I am this,” is the cause of his bondage to his personality, and is a web spun by his erroneous dualism.
