The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.35.24

शरीरे कणशः कृत्ते नास्त्यन्यद्रुधिरादिकात् ।
निर्भिन्ने कदलीस्तम्भे नास्त्यन्यत्पल्लवादृते ॥ २४ ॥

śarīre kaṇaśaḥ kṛtte nāstyanyadrudhirādikāt |
nirbhinne kadalīstambhe nāstyanyatpallavādṛte || 24 ||

The body being dissected into atoms, and analysed in all its particles, presents nothing but blood and entrails as the plantain tree, which when cut into pieces, presents naught but its folded rinds.
