The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.35.11

धृतावन्तर्विवृद्धायां मुक्तायामिव कीचके ।
स्थितावन्तः कृतार्थायां मधाविव निशाकरे ॥ ११ ॥

dhṛtāvantarvivṛddhāyāṃ muktāyāmiva kīcake |
sthitāvantaḥ kṛtārthāyāṃ madhāviva niśākare || 11 ||

And as the practice of patience grows familiar in the mind, like the medicinal vansa-lochana within the bamboo; it gives rise to the quality of firmness in the man, as the moon brightens the vernal sky.
