The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मिथ्येयमिन्द्रजालश्रीः किं मे स्नेहविरागयोः ।
इत्यन्तरानुसंधानादहंकारो न जायते ॥ ४४ ॥

mithyeyamindrajālaśrīḥ kiṃ me snehavirāgayoḥ |
ityantarānusaṃdhānādahaṃkāro na jāyate || 44 ||

A closer investigation into human life, proves it to be a maze full with the false shows of magic. It is not worth loving or hating, nor capable of causing our egoism or pride.
