The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जीवमुद्रा च किं पङ्के भोगगन्धो निरस्यताम् ।
किमर्थमात्रया कार्यमार्याः शास्त्रमवेक्ष्यताम् ॥ ५४ ॥

jīvamudrā ca kiṃ paṅke bhogagandho nirasyatām |
kimarthamātrayā kāryamāryāḥ śāstramavekṣyatām || 54 ||

Of what avail is wealth without knowledge; therefore devote yourself to learning, and consider well your riches to be but trash and bubbles.
