The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न विनाशो भवत्यङ्ग गच्छतां परमां गतिम् ।
इदं मे स्यादिदं मे स्यादितिबुद्धेर्महामते ॥ ३६ ॥
na vināśo bhavatyaṅga gacchatāṃ paramāṃ gatim |
idaṃ me syādidaṃ me syāditibuddhermahāmate || 36 ||
O highminded Rama! he whose mind always longs after having this thing and that, loses the best gain of his manliness (parama purushartha) by his avarice, and leaves not even ashes or traces behind.
