The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.32.22

सकटः क्रकरः श्रुत्वा तत्कथासंस्मृतात्मभूः ।
शान्तमित्थं महाशान्तं परं निर्वाणमेष्यति ॥ २२ ॥

sakaṭaḥ krakaraḥ śrutvā tatkathāsaṃsmṛtātmabhūḥ |
śāntamitthaṃ mahāśāntaṃ paraṃ nirvāṇameṣyati || 22 ||

And the parrot Kata, happening to hear it, remembered his past life, whereby he was absolved of his sins, and attained his final liberation.
