The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आलये दानवो व्यालः कलविङ्को भविष्यति ।
प्रथमाल्पश्रुतशास्त्र इवार्थरहितारवः ॥ १५ ॥

ālaye dānavo vyālaḥ kalaviṅko bhaviṣyati |
prathamālpaśrutaśāstra ivārtharahitāravaḥ || 15 ||

There the demon Vyala built his nest in the form of a sparrow, and chirped his meaningless notes, as one repeats the Vedic hymns without knowing their meanings.
