The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.31.14

श्रीराम उवाच ।
सन्त एव स्थिताः सन्तो ब्रह्मन्वयमिमे किल ।
दामादयस्त्वसन्तोऽपि वक्षि सन्तः स्थिता इति ॥ १४ ॥

śrīrāma uvāca |
santa eva sthitāḥ santo brahmanvayamime kila |
dāmādayastvasanto'pi vakṣi santaḥ sthitā iti || 14 ||

Rama answered said:—Why sir, all that is existent is ever present before us as our own bodies, and all things beside ourselves; but you are speaking of Dama and the demons, as mere nullities and yet to be in existence.
