The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.31.12

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
एवमेतन्महाबाहो नासत्संभवति क्वचित् ।
कदाचित्किंचिदप्येव बृहत्संपद्यते तनु ॥ १२ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
evametanmahābāho nāsatsaṃbhavati kvacit |
kadācitkiṃcidapyeva bṛhatsaṃpadyate tanu || 12 ||

Vasishtha replied:—So it is, O strong armed Rama! that nothing can ever be something, or anything can ever be nothing. But it is possible for a little thing to be great, as for a great one to be reduced to minuteness.
