The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.31.8

अहङ्काराम्बुदच्छन्नं परमार्थेन्दुमण्डलम् ।
रसायनमयं शीतमदृश्यत्वमुपागतम् ॥ ८ ॥

ahaṅkārāmbudacchannaṃ paramārthendumaṇḍalam |
rasāyanamayaṃ śītamadṛśyatvamupāgatam || 8 ||

The error of egoism like a dark cloud, hidest the bright disk of the moon of truth under its gloom, and causes its cooling beams to disappear from sight.
