The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.29.15

तेषां योषान्नपानेन स्वाहंकृतिमतां रतिः ।
बभूव भावभावस्था भीषणा भवभाजिनी ॥ १५ ॥

teṣāṃ yoṣānnapānena svāhaṃkṛtimatāṃ ratiḥ |
babhūva bhāvabhāvasthā bhīṣaṇā bhavabhājinī || 15 ||

Their pride and egoism led their inclination to the pleasures of good eating and drinking, and to the possession of every worldly good.
