The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.28.25

मत्तानिलक्षुब्धजलानलार्कदलद्वयं दीर्घसुरासुरौघम् ।
ब्रह्माण्डमाखण्डितकुड्यकोणसकालकल्पान्तकरालमासीत् ॥ २५ ॥

mattānilakṣubdhajalānalārkadaladvayaṃ dīrghasurāsuraugham |
brahmāṇḍamākhaṇḍitakuḍyakoṇasakālakalpāntakarālamāsīt || 25 ||

The disordered world seemed to approach its untimely end, by the blowing of the furious winds mixed with fire and water (as in the chaotic state); and the many suns of the deities and demons, shining above and below.
