The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.28.24

अन्योन्यमायुधशिलाचलवृक्षवर्षैर्मेरुप्रमाणकठिनाङ्गनिघर्षणैश्च ।
आसीद्रणं चटचटास्फुटदन्तरिक्षं कल्पक्षयान्तमिव भीमभरोग्रनादैः ॥ २४ ॥

anyonyamāyudhaśilācalavṛkṣavarṣairmerupramāṇakaṭhināṅganigharṣaṇaiśca |
āsīdraṇaṃ caṭacaṭāsphuṭadantarikṣaṃ kalpakṣayāntamiva bhīmabharogranādaiḥ || 24 ||

The sky re-echoed to the thunder-claps of the mutual strokes of the weapons, the clattering of the stones and trees, and the blows of the warriors on one another, as it was the bustle of the day of universal destruction.
