The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इयन्मात्रपरिच्छिन्नो येनात्मा भव्यभावितः ।
स सर्वज्ञोऽपि सर्वत्र परां कृपणतां गतः ॥ २२ ॥

iyanmātraparicchinno yenātmā bhavyabhāvitaḥ |
sa sarvajño'pi sarvatra parāṃ kṛpaṇatāṃ gataḥ || 22 ||

He who confines his mind within a narrow limit, for want of his great and extended views, is called dastardly and narrow-minded man notwithstanding with all his learning and wisdom.
