The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तानप्यन्तरमासाद्य जघ्नुर्देवा भयानकाः ।
व्योमान्तरगताः श्येनाः कलविङ्कानिवाकुलान् ॥ २४ ॥

tānapyantaramāsādya jaghnurdevā bhayānakāḥ |
vyomāntaragatāḥ śyenāḥ kalaviṅkānivākulān || 24 ||

The devas finding their fit opportunities, killed the demons one by one; as the aerial hawks pounce upon and kill the feeble and timid sparrows.
