The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.24.13

प्रयच्छति परां सिद्धिं त्यक्त्वात्मानं मनःपिता ।
सुदृष्टः सुपरामृष्टः सुदृढः सुप्रबोधितः ॥ १३ ॥

prayacchati parāṃ siddhiṃ tyaktvātmānaṃ manaḥpitā |
sudṛṣṭaḥ suparāmṛṣṭaḥ sudṛḍhaḥ suprabodhitaḥ || 13 ||

The mind is called our father, for its enlightening our understanding with the light of the sastras derived by itself, and for its leading us to perfection by losing itself in the Supreme spirit.
