The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एकतत्त्वदृढाभ्यासाद्यावन्न विजितं मनः ।
भृत्योऽभिमतकर्तृत्वान्मन्त्री सत्कार्यकारणात् ॥ १० ॥

ekatattvadṛḍhābhyāsādyāvanna vijitaṃ manaḥ |
bhṛtyo'bhimatakartṛtvānmantrī satkāryakāraṇāt || 10 ||

So long do the demons of our desires, infest the region of our hearts, as we are unable to bring the mind under the subjection of our knowledge of the True one.
