The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.21.24

मनो वै कापिलानां तु प्रतिपत्तिनिजामलम् ।
उररीकृत्य निर्णीय कल्पिताः शास्त्रदृष्टयः ॥ २४ ॥

mano vai kāpilānāṃ tu pratipattinijāmalam |
urarīkṛtya nirṇīya kalpitāḥ śāstradṛṣṭayaḥ || 24 ||

The mind is ascertained by the Kapila (Sankhya) philosophers, as a pure substance, like the immaterial intellect (under the title of pradhana); and this view of it is adopted in their system or sastra.
