The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.18.47

जगद्दीर्घमहास्वप्नः सोऽयमन्तः समुत्थितः ।
स्वप्नात्स्वप्नान्तरं यान्ति काश्चिद्भूतपरम्पराः ॥ ४७ ॥

jagaddīrghamahāsvapnaḥ so'yamantaḥ samutthitaḥ |
svapnātsvapnāntaraṃ yānti kāścidbhūtaparamparāḥ || 47 ||

Some beings pass into successive states of existence, as a man passes from one dream to another;and they think themselves to be firmly established in them, as one supposes to be settled in some house, appearing to him in his dream.
