The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दृश्यशाखाशताड्यानामिह नान्तोऽवगम्यते ।
खण्डः प्रत्येकमेवायं यथा रसचमत्कृतिम् ॥ ४० ॥

dṛśyaśākhāśatāḍyānāmiha nānto'vagamyate |
khaṇḍaḥ pratyekamevāyaṃ yathā rasacamatkṛtim || 40 ||

The intellect perceives in itself the existence of everything, as distinctly as the inherent power of the living soul exhibits itself in creation. (The power of the soul is its reminiscence.
