The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आकाशविशदो द्रष्टा सर्वाङ्गोऽपि न पश्यति ।
नेत्रं निजमिवात्मानं दृशीभूतमहो भ्रमः ॥ २९ ॥

ākāśaviśado draṣṭā sarvāṅgo'pi na paśyati |
netraṃ nijamivātmānaṃ dṛśībhūtamaho bhramaḥ || 29 ||

As the looker on the clear sky, does not see what is above the skies; so we see ourselves and others as material beings; but cannot see the inward part of the immaterial soul, as the wise men do.
